Cameron Club Lodges FAQs
The Scottish Government has introduced a Visitor Levy scheme, which allows local councils to implement a levy on overnight stays if they choose to do so. The lodges located within the grounds of Cameron House fall under the jurisdiction of West Dunbartonshire Council, which has chosen to introduce a 5% Visitor Levy on overnight paid accommodation. The levy applies to confirmed reservations arriving from 1 July 2027 where the reservation was booked and paid for, either in full or in part, after 1 October 2026.
The levy will be automatically applied to any reservation that meets these criteria and will be shown as a separate fee on your booking confirmation. Cameron House Lodges Ltd is responsible for collecting the levy and passing it on to West Dunbartonshire Council. The lodges located within The Carrick (Cameron Club) estate fall under the jurisdiction of Argyll and Bute Council, which has yet to make a decision on whether to introduce a levy or not.
Yes, the paths throughout the resort are buggy-friendly and easy to navigate, making it simple to get around with little ones. You can comfortably walk between your lodge, the leisure facilities, and restaurants, or enjoy a stroll along the lochside without needing to carry your pushchair.
Yes, there are stair gates in many of our lodges.
Yes, highchairs can be provided upon request.
We have 24 charging points available across the resort including 22kWh, 50kWh and 100kWh.

We use Connekt EV Charging who are a leading electric vehicle charging business in Scotland. For every charger installed, they’ll plant a tree on our behalf, supporting our commitment to our sustainability goals.
At Cameron House, we are committed to providing a welcoming and comfortable stay for all our guests. Our hotel is accessible, with a number of lifts and dedicated accessible bedrooms available.
Our self-catering lodges, cottages and apartments are not specifically adapted for accessibility. The apartments within Mansion House have lift access, while our bungalows are all on one level, although some steps are required to enter.

Our 5 star lodges, holiday homes and luxury suites are all based in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, in West Dunbartonshire, just North of Balloch and Alexandria on the A82 on the west shore of Loch Lomond. Cameron House Lodges are located next to Cameron House Hotel, and The Carrick Lodges are located two miles further along the A82, at The Carrick golf course.
On the day of your arrival you can check in from 4pm. On the day of departure check out is 10am.
Our lodges do not have hot tubs.
The lodges are rented out on a self-catering basis. However, from time to time we may offer a promotion whereby some meals may be included or a discounted rate may apply to food & drinks purchased on the resort as well as golf or spa treatments. Use of The Health Club is always included.
Use of the Health Club leisure facilities at Cameron House is included. A charge will be incurred for use of the Cameron Spa Thermal & Hydro Experience or for any spa treatments. Guests staying at The Carrick Lodges have access to the spa facilities and use of the Thermal & Hydro Experience within the Cameron Spa as well as use of the Cameron House leisure facilities.
If you would like to visit the Cameron Spa, we would recommend you book in advance.
We do not include a mid-stay clean but this is available on request and for an additional charge.
Please note that pets are not permitted in Cameron lodges, cottages or apartments. Except for dogs which are a support animal for a person who is disabled as defined in the Equality Act 2010 (which includes persons who have a mental or physical impairment and the impairment has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on their ability to carry out normal day-day activities), no animals or birds shall be taken into or kept in any Unit. Cameron House Lodges Ltd shall be entitled to request that supporting documentation is provided to verify that any dog taken into or kept in any Unit is a support animal.
We reserve the right to apply a cleaning fee of £1,000 to any guest found to have a dog in their lodge that is not a support animal and to request that the dog be removed from the lodge immediately.

The Cameron House Lodges have one, two, three and four bedroom lodges. The one, two and three bedroom lodges have either a sofa bed or pull down bed in the lounge, which means that one bedroom lodges can sleep up to four guests, two bedroom lodges can sleep up to six guests and three bedroom lodges sleep up to eight guests. The four bedroom lodges also sleep up to eight guests.
All linen and towels are provided with the exception of cot linen. We also provide washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and laundry detergent. A starter pack of tea, coffee, and Tassimo coffee pods is also provided.
Lodges check in is from 4pm and check out is at 10am.
For rental reservations, electricity is included in your rate. Phone calls to UK numbers and UK mobile numbers are included but a fair usage policy applies.

Minimum stay for lodges and cottages is for three nights, and Mansion House minimum stay is two nights. During the Christmas and New Year period and some school holidays, there may be some restrictions where the minimum stay is four nights.
